Learning Language Arts Through Literature Vs the Good and the Beautiful

I am working on compiling curriculum favorites for each of the various discipline areas. If you missed the get-go post, information technology was all virtually science check it out HERE. Our Favorite Homeschool Linguistic communication Arts Curriculum:

A favorite all-inclusive plan nosotros have been using for a few years now is The Adept and the Beautiful Curriculum. It includes spelling, grammar, handwriting and literature. Read my review here.

Spelling Curriculum:

All Near Spelling– this ane topped the listing every bit a favorite everywhere I asked.  Nosotros are using it, too & love it! It is simple to use & fun for kids.

Reading/Phonics Curriculum:

McRuffy Press They have a Linguistic communication Arts & Reading programme as well as a Spelling/Phonics program. Both expect really great.

Bob Books–  I have been using these books for years with my kids and really like them.  They are corking early readers!

Reading Horizons– A program for learning to read that has software as well as a lot of hands-on pedagogy materials.

Explode the Code– these are fun workbooks that teach phonics and reading in an engaging way. We take been using them for a few years now and my kids always enjoy the lessons.

Happy Phonics– This is a program that teaches through games.  I take heard great things about information technology from several of my friends.

 I take been using this programme all year and Love it. My daughter has actually excelled with it.

Reading Eggs– this is a fun website that teaches reading skills to early readers. Nosotros accept enjoyed using it for several months now.

Wordly Wise– this is a serial of workbooks that teaches vocabulary.

Handwriting/Writing:

Essentials in Writing– DVD's that teach writing skills for 1st-12th graders. Too includes worksheets to become along with the lessons. A lot of people mentioned that they like this programme. Review from My Joy Filled Life.

Homeschool Grammer Curriculum:

Growing With Grammar– I used this with my second grader this yr & was very happy with information technology.

Rod & Staff – Building Christian English seems to be some other pop curriculum.

Homeschool Literature Curriculum:

Literature is an important political party of any homeschool language arts curriculum.  When you choose and all-inclusive programme, you lot don't need to worry most this quite as much.  If you want to but read without a curriculum, bank check out some of my volume lists: fifty Must Read Classics for Kids  or the Newbery Medal Books Reading Listing are both great starting points!

Progeny Press– they have over 100 study guides for literature in all grades.

Ambleside Online Reading List- another favorite site of min to await for great books

Complete Homeschool Language Arts Curriculum:

Memoria Press– My Review
This is a classical-based curriculum. We have used many of their things & Honey them! I accept been really impressed with this company.

Abeka– this curriculum was mentioned a lot as a favorite. You can purchase a full language arts kit, or separate parts of it.

The Phonics Road: My Review– this program teaches reading, phonics and writing all in 1. It is pretty impressive!

Christian Low-cal Publications– nosotros accept used their math program and loved it, now I am seriously considering this 1. It looks fantastic!
